The Pentair Pentek RFC-BB is a granular activated carbon (GAC) filter in the RFC Series, designed for whole house and point-of-entry water filtration. It reduces chlorine taste and odor, sediment, and other contaminants using radial flow carbon technology for cleaner, better-tasting water from every tap.The radial flow design directs water through the carbon bed from the outside in, maximizing contact time while maintaining low pressure drop and minimizing carbon fines. Each cartridge offers a 50,000 gallon capacity at a 2 GPM service flow rate with less than 1 PSI pressure drop, so filtration performance does not come at the expense of household water pressure. Operating temperature range is 40-125 degrees F with 25 micron nominal filtration.The RFC-BB fits all standard 10″ Big Blue filter housings and measures 10″ x 4.5″. It features a 70-micron porous polyethylene outer shell, polypropylene core, and durable endcaps. NSF/ANSI Standard 42 certified for material safety and structural integrity. Replace every 6-12 months or when water pressure or quality decreases.
