Operation
Wireless range of up to several miles.* When an alert signal is received from the MURS AlertTM transmitter, the M538-BS sounds off with the voice of the alert signal and displays an alert icon as a visual cue that a signal has been received. Long wireless range, simple push-to-talk operation. When an alert signal is received from the MURS MAT, the M538-HT sounds off with the voice alert signal and displays an alert icon as a visual cue that an alert signal has been received When the MURS Alert detects a vehicle, it sends a signal back to either the M538-BS or M538-HT transceivers. The alert signal is in spoken English and repeats the phrase “Alert Zone One”, “Alert Zone Two”, “Alert Zone Three” or “Alert Zone Four”. When the MURS MAT detects people, vehicles, or large animals, it sends an alert signal to either the M538-BS or M538-HT transceivers. The alert signal is spoken English repeating the phrase “Alert Zone (AZ) One”, “AZ Two”, “AZ Three” or “AZ Four”. The MURS BS kit consists of one MURS Alert transmitter and one M538-BS base station transceiver. The kit is ideal for use in fixed locations such as homes, shops or offices. The MURS HT kit consists of one MURS Alert transmitter and one M538-HT hand-held transceiver. The kit is ideal for people who are out and about such as security guards, sales staff, and outdoorsmen.
